DAY 2, Sunday - Montecatini
Arrive in Florence and transfer to Montecatini Terme. Admire panoramic views of the sprawling Italian countryside as you drive through the Tuscan Hills toward the charming city of Montecatini. Upon arrival at your hotel, enjoy the balance of the day at leisure in this lovely world-renowned spa town, famed for its spring waters, thermal baths, mudpacks, and massages. This evening enjoy a welcome drink and dinner at your hotel

DAY 3, Monday - Montecatini, Siena, San Gimignano
Today, visit two of Tuscany’s true gems: Siena and the medieval walled town of San Gimignano. Set in the beautiful Tuscan countryside with lush vine escarpments and gray-green olive trees, Siena offers much to see, from the fine palaces that line its cobbled streets to the Duomo and celebrated Piazza del Campo where the Palio Horserace is run each year. Enjoy lunch in Siena before traveling to San Gimignano, a town of Etruscan origin. Built by early noble families, the fourteen remaining stone towers that line the ramparts of this medieval town, dominate the streets below, and create a beautiful skyline easily seen several miles outside of town. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure

DAY 4, Tuesday - Montecatini, Florence
After breakfast, depart for Florence by train. Upon arrival, walk to Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, where you will view Ghiberti's famous "Gates of Paradise" at the Baptistery. Marvel at the Statue of David by Michelangelo in the Academy of Fine Arts before continuing to the open-air art museum of Signoria Square, with the beautiful statues of the Loggia dei Lanzi and Palazzo Vecchio, the seat of the city government for centuries. Enjoy lunch in the ancient Byzantine Tower of the Hotel Brunelleschi, followed by a visit to the San Lorenzo Market and jewelry laboratories on the famed Ponte Vecchio

DAY 5, Wednesday - Montecatini, Cinque Terre
Depart this morning for La Spezia, a Mediterranean coastal town east of Montecatini. Take a ferry to Cinque Terre, one of the most beautiful areas of the Liguria region. Here, five small villages suspend between sea and earth, nestled in the cliffs overlooking the sea and hills where the land's finest wines are grown. Enjoy lunch in the picturesque village of Monterosso before returning to Montecatini for dinner

DAY 6, Thursday - Montecatini, Lucca
Begin your full day excursion by visiting the ancient medieval town of Lucca, one of the most fascinating towns in Tuscany. Upon arrival, walk the narrow streets of the original Roman grid to San Michele and its beautiful piazza, which occupies the site of the original Roman Forum. Continue to visit a local farm that specializes in the production of wine and extra virgin olive oil. Enjoy typical Tuscan products for lunch as you taste the regional olive oil and wines

DAY 7, Friday - Montecatini, Apuane Mountains
After breakfast, travel along the beautiful Tyrrhenian Coast to the Apuane Mountains, where you will visit the famous Carrara marble quarries. Here, learn about the sculpting techniques of the great Italian marble artists, such as Michelangelo, Donatello and Maderno, and why they and others like them have found inspiration in this unique and valuable stone. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel this afternoon. Dinner this evening

DAY 8, Saturday - Montecatini at Leisure
The day is yours to spend as you wish in Montecatini. As every woman is in need of a little pampering, we suggest visiting the most celebrated of the city's spa facilities, the Terme Tettuccio.
